Vietnam and Cuba are exploring today some ways to broaden their economic relations as part of a visit here by a delegation from the Chamber of Commerce of the Caribbean country.
Led by Odalys Seijo, vice-president of the entity, the Cuban delegation holds talks with host authorities during a series of meetings that respond to the common interest of promoting collaboration ties.

Today's agenda included talks with Ta Hoang Linh, deputy director general of Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), and officials of the Foreign Investment Agency, as well as the participation in a promotional presentation of Cuban rum, among others activities, sources close to the visiting mission told Prensa Latina.

The 7th Session of the Business Committee was announced for tomorrow afternoon in the presence of directors of the respective Chambers of Commerce, which will close with the signing of the Action Plan for the 2017-2018 period.

Tuesday's agenda will also include a presentation by Seijo about the 'Foreign Trade and Investment Panorama in Cuba', also with questions and answers. The event will conclude with a meeting between businessmen from both sides.

The Cuban delegation will participate on Wednesday, April 19th, in the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Trade Fair, to which executives from about 500 companies from 23 countries and territories will attend.

The exhibition of those attending includes products and services from agricultural food, medical-pharmaceutical, light industry, culture, beverages and liquor sectors, among others.
