Everyone who stops in Havana likes to sit for a while on that long wall that is our Malecón where the waves break along the breakwater of that road.

I invite you to accompany me to one of the most emblematic places of our Havana and that has inspired many composers to sing to  ... El Malecón.

Everyone who stops in Havana likes to sit for a while on that long wall that is our boardwalk where the waves break along the breakwater of that road, one of the main arteries of the city of Havana and the site of obligatory reference for all who bet on the island as a destination for rest and recreation.

The attractiveness of the road extends from the entrance of Havana Bay, to the east, for about five kilometers to the west, with a capricious design parallel to the irregular coastline, bathed by the warm waters surrounding the island. .

In addition to its beauty, endorsed by a century-old history, the  Habana Malecón seaside drive  is a key piece in the road order of the city, since with its six lanes, three in each direction, it allows a fluid circulation of traffic.

For many, the site is considered a true pulse of the city, a true reflection of the life of its inhabitants, their loves, games, sadness and encounters, all in a space of a few thousand meters.

A curious fact is the fact that in the early years of the twentieth century the Malecon  also offered the attraction of public baths, where the villagers of the time enjoyed the warm waters of the sea, with the modesty between men and women who dictated the customs of yesteryear .

Its peculiar layout served for the most diverse events, including car races, film shoots, parades and concerts.
