The Ballet de Camagüey is carrying out a wide reaching cultural program on occasion of its 50th anniversary. That's why, several personalities and dancers have arrived to this city to participate in this program
that commerates half a century of a company founded by the maitre Vicentina de la Torre.
The cultural gathering “Estrechando espacios”, ( Narrowing Spaces ) hosted by writer Yoandra Santana, dedicated one of its spaces to highlight the work of the dancer, choreographer and current director of
the Ballet de Camagüey, Regina Balaguer.
A group of dancers, professors, technicians and workers in general belonging to the dance company left Agramonte park for the city cemetery, to pay tribute before the tomb of the unforgettable dancer and
founder of Camaguey Ballet, Vicentina de la Torre.
The company venue welcomed once more children from different atelliers who joined to the activities that are taking place these days. This time they witnesed the planting of three trees that make homage to three brilliant Cubans: Our Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, the Maestro Alberto Alonso and the creator of the company.
From this December 2, at 8:30 pm, the Principal theater of Camagüey will be hosting the performances of the Ballet de Camaguey along with other guests like the Rosario Cardenas dance company.
