Army General Raul Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, received on Monday the President of the Republic of Chile, Michelle Bachelet Jeria, who made an official visit to our country.

During the meeting, held in a fraternal environment, both leaders expressed their satisfaction for the good state of bilateral relations and discussed the need to strengthen economic-trade and cooperation ties, as well as investments.

They also exchanged about the regional and international situation and about the challenges of Latin American and Caribbean integration.

Bachelet was accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, and other members of the official delegation.

On the Cuban side were Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Investment, respectively, and other members of the Cuban government.
