Cuban president, Miguel Diaz-Canel, today makes a working visit to the central province of Villa Clara, where he participated in a debate assembly on the new Constitution bill.
Along with authorities of that territory, Diaz-Canel witnessed in the factory of Traviesas of Santa Clara several analyzes on the document approved on July 22 by the National Assembly of People's Power that, if approved, would replace the current charter in force since 1976.
Previously, the head of state talked with executives of the pasteurizing unit and called to turn that company into a pole of the food industry with the production of milk and soy derivatives.
The president also toured the provincial company of Raw Materials Recovery, while the first vice president, Salvador Valdés, visited the municipality of Remedios in Villa Clara Municipality.
Since his arrival to the presidency in April this year, Díaz-Canel makes government visits to the Cuban provinces, where he is interested in the recovery efforts after the passage of Hurricane Irma in September 2017.
The tours of the president have also included areas affected by the subtropical storm Alberto, which in May and June caused severe damage in the central region of the island.
In his visits, Díaz-Canel has also noted the development of important social and economic works.
