Ninth International Justice and Law Meeting Begins in Cuba

Some 900 delegates from Cuba and other countries will open in this capital the Ninth International Justice and Law Meeting, an event that seeks to promote exchanges between operators of the judicial systems of the attending nations.
According to the president of the People's Supreme Court of Cuba, Ruben Remigio Ferro, jurists from almost 30 countries, including Bolivia, Ecuador, Sweden, Russia, the United States, Venezuela and South Africa, confirmed their participation in the event.
He also highlighted the attendance of personalities such as Dr. Sergio Foa, professor at the University of Turin, Italy; Professor Roberto Viciano, from the University of Valencia, Spain; and the director of the Center for Studies in Criminal Policy and Criminal Sciences of Mexico, Moises Moreno.
According to Ferro, the congress is ratified as a scientific-juridical space of great prestige in the national and international scope.
Constitutional law, the rights of children and people with disabilities, gender approaches and administrative rights, are among the main issues to be discussed during the meeting, to be last until Friday, May 25.
According to the Director of Training and Development of the Supreme People's Court, Rufina Hernandez, the Cuban side will also take into account discussions such as population aging, the alternatives of agreements between family conflicts and gender problems.
As part of the program of the Ninth International Justice and Law Meeting, about 28 keynote speeches, 40 papers, more than 20 panels and seven special speeches will be held.
