Jeremiah Wilson Nixon, Governor of Missouri, made a symbolic delivery to Cuba of a 20-tons donation of rice cultivated and processed in this American state, as a feeling of interest of their farmers in trading with the Caribbean Archipelago.

After inaugurating a business forum in Havana, Wilson highlighted the importance of retaking the commercial relations with Cuba, from an area that may offer a wide supply of agro-industrial products at a competitive price.

María de la Luz Be´Hamel, director of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, recogniced the willingness of American companies of identifying business opportunities in our country.

However, she recalled that the blockade policy against Cuba hinders the normalization of bilateral relations, and that the permission to use the dollar by Cuba during its transactions has not yet been implemented.
