The constant and inclusive training throughout life and the ecology of knowledge are some of the issues to be discussed today during the last day of the International Congress of Higher Education, Universidad 2018.

Other items of the agenda are teaching alternatives in training professionals and the philosophy of Education of the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, among other aspects.

According to Lluvia Ofelia Palomino, Doctor in Educational Sciences, getting young people to choose teaching by vocation is a challenge of teaching in Mexico.

We always refer to the identity of other professions, but teaching was neglected and is one of the desirable features of the graduate students profile, Palomino told Prensa Latina.

The cultural, social and economic conditions sometimes conspire against that intention and then they choose this path because they have no other choice but to be a teacher, the delegate from Aguas Calientes state stated.

Professor Maribel del Carmen Aveldaño, of the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, said her country is exhibiting progress in curriculum design in Higher Education.

Opened yesterday at the Havana's Conference Center, the event brought together professionals from different continents, including the president of the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (UDUAL), Henning Jensen Pennington.
