The third International Salon for Restaurants, Hotels and Tourist Services HostelCuba 2019, was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Pabexpo Fairgrounds, with the participation of 120 exhibitors from 18 countries.

The fair, organized by Grupo Empresarial Palco and Fira Barcelona Internacional, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, aims to boost the country's hotel, restaurant and tourist services sectors.

The event shows great growth compared to previous editions, as the number of visitors and exhibitors has tripled, said the director of Fira Barcelona Ricard Zapatero.

Juan Carlos García, Vice-Minister of Tourism, said that HostelCuba makes Havana an important meeting point for importers and exporters.

The agenda of the meeting, which will run until May 30, includes business rounds with major companies in the country, an investment forum and the holding of conferences and training workshops, as reported at the inauguration.
