Aos teus olhos (To your eyes), a Brazilian film by Carolina Jabor and starring Daniel de Oliveira, stands out among the candidates for the best feature film of fiction at the 39th Havana International Festival of the New Latin American Cinema.

The 2016 film 'starring Daniel de Oliveira, known in Cuba for the soapopera Cabocla- tells the story of Rubens, a children's swimming teacher, who is accused by the parents of a student of kissing their son in the mouth.

When the accusation and the message groups of the school spread through the school social networks, a group of hasty judgments about Rubens' actions and intentions start.

According to screenwriter Lucas Paraizo, the film offers more questions than answers, which was always the intention, to provoke the participation of the public.

On the other hand, this is not a movie about pedophilia, but about the violation of privacy in this era. In this case, it looks for a relationship of complicity with the viewer, an intention of adding it to the construction of the film -the screenwriter of the film commented.

Meanwhile, the director assures that the film explores realities of a society in the contemporary world, and the impact of social networks on a person who is threatened by judgments and criteria expressed in the virtual universe.
