After a long working day in Havana to look into expanding cooperation, the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, was welcome by Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

The two high-ranking dignitaries discussed late on Monday the completion of the 2nd Cuba-EU Joint Council and the implementation of the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement.

They also talked about the good state of bilateral relations and about the hardening of the US blockade against Cuba, and its extraterritorial effects, the Presidency reported in a press handout.
