In addition, Philip Catchpole, musical director of The Selector, explained that, in spite of working with so many countries, “Cuba has a special link with The Selector; that's why we are seeking how to expand this experience”.
“The idea of the show consists in sharing the music produced in the UK, so we use the program to interact with people and join them. My dream is to have all the stations trasmitting The Selector in the same place and, if this happens, I prefer it were in Cuba”, Catchpole pointed.
This evening meeting, called by the British Council and Cuba Tonight's program broadcast by Radio Taino, served as preamble for the concert taking place this Saturday, April 8, from 10 pm, at the Balneario Universitario, where Goldierocks will be sharing with the winner of the MusicDos contest, focused on mixing Cuban music with British rhythms.
