The Sol Cayo Coco hotel, one of the longest living accommodations on the north coast of Cuba, shows a renewed appearance in the high season of tourism after the impact of Hurricane Irma.

Rebuilt after the furious onslaught of the meteorological event, the facility -located in Cayo Coco, Ciego de Ávila province-, was one of the first to begin operating of the 26 hotels in the area.

This happened just 45 days after the impact of the storm, and now, after completing its first 20 years, it exhibits a change in decoration in different areas.

The general director of the establishment, Guillermo Sastre, told Prensa Latina that the main losses were focused on roofing, gardening, painting, ceilings, and glass, which led to a change in the setting of the lobby.

With a capacity of 270 rooms, the facility has rented about 140, but with the next arrival of 200 customers from the first Russian flight to this destination, the occupancy level increases.

One of the reasons for the change of decoration is to put them in correspondence with the brand Sol, whose proposal is a Sol en familia, hence some of the new offers promoted by this destination.

Regarding the offers, the Sales Manager of the Commercial Department, Naivi Quintero, indicated that the facility has 22 rooms specially accommodated for families with small children.

In addition, it includes options for infants, including an electronic games room.

For the national market, new proposals related to family travel were opened, and now some freebies are offered, such as the trip of two children without cost, until December 22.
