The Cuban Boxing Federation announced that the Cuba Domadores and the France Fighting Roosters will face each other this month in the semifinal stage of the 8^th World Series of Boxing (WSB).

According to an AIBA press release, the Caribbean side will travel to France on May 18, in the C2 format, and will host the second match (C1) on the 25 of that same month.

The tiebreaker, if necessary, will take place at Havana´s Sports City Coliseum in the 69 kg division.

The other semifinal will involve the British Lion hearts and the Kazakhstan Astana Arlans.

These matches were decided in a draw recently made by AIBA.

It is expected those in coming hours, AIBA to express the reasons for which the quarter-final stage was dispensed with, leaving only the four best teams of the qualifying round in the battle for the medals.
