The Cuban baseball team competing in the Canadian-American Independent Baseball League (Can-Am League) will play its 2nd match against the Trois-Rivieres Eagles, after they won its first match against this Canadian team by 8-2.

The Cuban baseball team competing in the Canadian-American Independent Baseball League (Can-Am League) will play its 2nd match against the Trois-Rivieres Eagles, after they won its first match against this Canadian team by 8-2.

The Cuban team won thanks to a batting attack headed by first baseman and 3rd hitter in the line-up Guillermo Aviles (5-3) with 2 scored tuns and 2 runs batted in, and catcher Yosvani Alarcon (4-2) with one scored run, 2 runs batted in, at the Stade Stereo Stadium.

The players managed by Roger Machado scored 4 runs in the first inning, and that was decisive.

Also centerfielder Victor Victor Mesa and shortstop Raul Gonzalez outstood, with 2 scored runs each.

The two runs by the Canadian team were batted in by homeruns, hit by Daniel Mateo and Kyle Lafrenz, both when Cuban starter Vladimir Baños was in the pitcher's box.

Right-handed pitcher Jose Ramon Rodriguez pitched the last two innings, after Baños.

Guillaume Blanchette turned out to be the defeated pitcher.

For the Eagles, shortstop Alexander Ayala, a Cuban who plays with the Trois-Riviÿres, batted 2 hits in 4 times at bat with no runs scored or batted in. The first hitter in the line-up Julio Pablo Martínez, also a Cuban, hit 1 for 4 times at bat.

Cuba should play 21 matches in total in this league.
