Cuba Willing to Formalize Sports Collaboration with Peru
The president of the Cuban Sports Institute (Inder), Osvaldo Vento, told Peruvian Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Ana Patricia Andarde, today that the island is willing to collaborate with Peru in this field.

The president of the Cuban Sports Institute (Inder), Osvaldo Vento, told Peruvian Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Ana Patricia Andarde, today that the island is willing to collaborate with Peru in this field.
It was during Vento's visit to the deputy minister, as part of an intense program of activities led by a large delegation of the Cuban organization.
The senior official highlighted the cordiality of the dialogue held at the meeting, in which the Cuban ambassador to Peru, Sergio Gonzalez, participated.
The delegation today completed its second day of activities, in a visit dedicated to coordination of the arrival and stay of the Cuban delegation of more than 440 athletes who will participate in the Pan American Games in Lima, to be inaugurated next July 26, as well as bilateral relations.
Yesterday, Vento and his companions held an extensive meeting with the executive director of the organization of the Pan American Games, Carlos Neuhaus, and his team of collaborators.
Vento and Jorge Polo Vasquez, Inder's vice-president, agreed that Cuba's goal in the games is to surpass the performance of the previous games in Toronto, Canada, where the island won 36 medals and fourth place overall.
On the other hand, the president of the Inder held a meeting with the president of the National Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, Nicolas Aguilar, who ratified his support for the island, from important sectors of Peruvian society.
