Cuba, Singapore discuss on issues of bilateral, global interest

Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Rogelio Sierra held a meeting here today with the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry of Singapore, Ng Teck Hean, in which they discussed issues of bilateral and international interest.
According to the Cuban official in his Twitter account, the dialogue allowed to strengthen the links between the Caribbean island and this city-state.
The meeting, described by Sierra as productive, also made it possible to demonstrate the will to expand economic relations between the two countries.
The Cuban Deputy Minister visited Singapore on his way to Nauru, where he will head the Caribbean island's delegation that will attend the 49th Pacific Islands Forum from September 3 to 6, Havana's Foreign Ministry recently announced.
According to a press release, this forum is the main event in that region of the Pacific, which brings together 14 small island countries, as well as observers and dialogue partners, a condition that Cuba has held since 2013.
