Rains close to normal and extreme hot average temperatures are forecast in July in Cuba, today reports the Institute of Meteorology (INSMET).
According to the entity, this is the less rainy month of the season.
In July, there is a notable increase in the intensity of the Atlantic anticyclone and its influence on Cuba, which generates a significant decrease in rainfall compared to June, explains the report of the institution.
However, showers and thunderstorms occur, mainly during the afternoon and early evening hours.
This is associated with migratory systems in the tropical zone, such as waves and tropical low pressures, and also with diurnal heating, INSMET highlights.
It also stresses that -according to the output of the models consulted by the Climate Center and the experts' criterion- the total occurrence of precipitation close to normal is expected throughout the country.
