After 7 years of professional experience in important international stages, the Assen Dance Habana Cuban company will try to conquer the Cuban audience.

Its big launching, to be held this Saturday,, 8:30 p.m., and Sunday, 5:00 p.m, at the Sala Covarrubias of the Teatro Nacional, includes the premiere of the SWAY and PAIS shows. SWAY is a tribute to the woman seen through different folklores such as that of India, Spain, Argentina, France and US. Meanwhile, PAÍS is a fusion of themes and dance genders; a recognition to the Cuban music of the 20th century, to Cuba itself and its people.

Assen Dance Habana belongs to the catalogue of the Performing Arts National Council, and promoted by the EscenArte company. Ernesto Tamayo is its general director, and Choreographer Msc. Alejandro Assen its artistic director.

A revolutionary choreographic design, the use of high visual impact props, video mapping, and first level materials make it to compete versus the highest international standards.

This weekend will be the starting point for the company, that will allow it to expand its creations in Cuba, coming from the jazz ballet, performed by dancers and singers, and first level interpreters of
different disciplines, graduated in our national schools of art.

Among the guests participating in this great debut will be Vania Borges, the National Folkloric Ensemble, SPAZIO Vocal youth Choir, drag queen artists attached to the CENESEX, and Colombian dancers Kevin and Ronald, world champions of sports salsa.
