A Cuban delegation headed by Cuban Minister of Agriculture visits US
A Cuban delegation -headed by the Minister of Agriculture of Cuba, Gustavo Rodríguez Rollero- is visiting US from this June 1st up to 3rd, at the invitation of US Secretary of Agriculture, Thomas Vilsack.

A Cuban delegation -headed by the Minister of Agriculture of Cuba, Gustavo Rodríguez Rollero and integrated by officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Sciences, Technology and Environment, the Ministy of Foreign Relations and the National Institute of Water Resources- is visiting US from this June 1st up to 3rd, at the invitation of US Secretary of Agriculture, Thomas Vilsack.
The Cuban Minister will hold talks in Washington with US leaders from the Agricultural and Trading Departments; as well as with organizations supporting the lifting of the blockade and normalization of relations with Cuba.
From the US capital, the Cuban group will travel to Iowa state, accompanied by the Secretary Vilsack, who will lead it in a tour by agricultural production and research centers.
This visit will help to foster cooperation, as reflected on thel Memorandum of Understanding signed last March, in the fields of scientific exchanges on animal and plant health, organic production, researches linked to the recovery of agricultural lands, management for the preservation of the soil and forest, agricultural irrigation, among others.
