Mr. Valeriu Raudulian, head of Radio Romania Spanish language broadcasting department, made a work visit to Radio Taino “The FM of Cuba” studios, on occasion of the 62nd anniversary of Spanish language broadcasting on Radio Romania and the 1st anniversary of the collaboration between these two radio stations.

Valeriu affirmed that the project emerged from a common initiative. In the case of Romania, the Department of Foreign Affairs was in charge of making the contacts with Cuba and analyzing the possibility of collaborating and the best way to do this.

“Both nations agreed that the best way of carrying out this work was to show the authentic culture and tourist programs, since these are themes of high interest for Romania, according to Rauduliana.”

“The people of my country are highly interested in Spanish language, in general, and also in Latin America, that many know in spite of the long distance. Romania is a very far away country and very few visit Cuba, although there's a high interest for knowing about the Caribbean Archipelago.

The aim is to make Romanians know about Cuba's beauty, its culture and tourism, and that Cubans know a little more about my nation. It is a very equitable exchange”, said Valeriu.

As part of the program scheduled for this visit, the distinguished visitor will be teaching a lecture on October 9, at the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba. We'll be saying more details on the visit of the Romanian director to our radio station in upcoming editions. Soon we will continue to report about the visit to our station by the Romanian broadcast executive.
