Cuban kayac racers Jorge García and Reinier Torres, two-seater's kayacs (K-2) entriy and Fidel Vargas single seat , K-1, to 1 200 meters, respectively, seek to start their road toward the final runs of the
races, on the second date of the Panamerican Championship of Atlanta, US.
According to the event's website which grants Olympic tickets for the upcoming Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, the Garcia-Torres duet, two-seater's kayacs (K-2), to 1 000 meters, and single Vargas, one-seater (K-1), to 200 meters, are rowing this Friday, May 20, with the ambition of being included among the nine finalists.
Yesterday, the kayac racers Serguey Torres and Jorge Francisco Dayán, two-seater's kayacs (C-2), to 1 000 meters, won the gold medal, thus assuring their participation in the Olympic Games of August, 2016, to be held in Río de Janeiro.

Another Cuban canoist participating in Atlanta is Fidel Vargas, one-seater's (C-1), to 200 meters, who will try to win the medal and the title on his specialty
