Cuba's women's volleyball team will be playing today versus Croatia, as part of the third level of the Grand Prix of Volleyball, taking place in Chiclayo, Peru.

After finishing in the second position of Group B, in Bendigo, Australia, with two wins and one defeat, Cuban women, directed by Roberto Garcia, will play again versus the Croatian team, who are leading the competition with three wins.

The unvanquished European were the only ones in defeating Cuba 3-1, while the latter won 3-1 to the Australian and Colombian teams, in this order.

It all seems that Garcia may have his opposite attacker, and best player at present, Melissa Vargas, who suffered shoulder pains in the previous matches held in Bendigo.

Following the Croatian (3-0) and Cuban (2-1), were Colombian (1-2) and Australian (0-3).

This Saturday and Sunday, the Cuban team will be playing versus Peru and Algeria, respectively.

This third level of the competition will also have the Kazakhstan-Australia and Colombia-Mexico matches, having Cali, Colombia, as headquarters.

So far, the leading teams of this third level are the unvanquished Peru and Croatia, both with nine points and three wins without defeats, followed by Kazakhstan and Cuba (6-2-1), Colombia and Mexico (3-1-2), and Australia and Algeria (0-0-3).
